Upcoming Versiti Blood Drives Co-Sponsored by the LWVLC

The LWVLC helps to publicize and encourage donations for Versiti Blood Drives, conducted every other month on a Thursday afternoon at the Leelanau County Government Center from 12:30 PM to 5:00 PM. The next blood drive will be January 8, 2026.  Mark your calendar now! 

Versiti’s website says, “Even though 38% of the population is eligible to donate blood, less than 5% actually do…the blood you donate today ensures there is enough for tomorrow.”  According to the Red Cross, each time you donate blood, you could save as many as three lives.

For many years, the LWVLC has helped Versiti publicize its six blood drives a year.  The dates for 2026 are January 8, March 5, May 7, July 9, September 3 and November 5.
